Start Here (Psalm 1:2-3)

Welcome! This is where Believers choose to Live Yielded so they can Thrive in Christ!

My name is Kelly, and I started this blog to equip and encourage spiritually hungry readers to leave stagnancy and yield to God daily.

Who This Site Is For

If you have ever asked yourself:

  • How can I walk strong with God—in this season of my life?
  • Where can I find help to keep a consistent Daily Time with God?
  • What are some proven biblical principles to keep me nourished?

Then you are in the right place!

I’ve Asked Those Questions Too

But I didn’t start out asking them. I grew up in the church, but to me, God was a “God of rules,” and we definitely didn’t have a relationship. I tried hard to be good but my selfish nature wanted its way. So I got mad at God and told him I wasn’t a Christian anymore.

I tried to find love and fulfillment through relationships with guys, but as soon as I knew a heart was hooked I moved on as if in a feeding frenzy. Between demons and a near head-on collision, I had a praying mother.

One day she walked in my room with a children’s book. Silly. But I was curious…

On each page the fuzzy little one asked if his parent would still love him if he made a mistake from various scenarios. Without fail, the mom answered that she would love him anyway. Before the end of the book we were both crying.

My heart reached a revelation that afternoon. God wouldn’t force me to love Him. He would still love me if I rejected Him. For the first time I understood selfless love. It was the most gentle healing I have ever experienced.

What This Site Is About

After getting a correct view of God, I wanted to grow spiritually. The Holy Spirit helped me learn that I needed to live yielded to God—every day. He showed me that if I was going to live yielded in my walk with Him, then I needed to keep a Daily Time™ with God.

He knows I have a thing for acronyms, and I made this into one. It’s my mantra now. Daily Time™ means:

Determining Again I Live Yielded. Today I’m Maintaining Evidence.

Psalm 1:2-3

Psalm 1:2-3.

This ministry is based on Psalm 1:2-3. I think it best describes how we thrive in Christ. To thrive means to grow well or vigorously.

The first habit of those who are thriving in Christ is choosing to live yielded to God.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-3 NKJV

In these verses, the righteous are illustrated by the simile of a tree both fruitful and flourishing. My goal reflects Psalm 1:2-3: to help keep your roots planted deep into the soil of God’s Word, positioned to be nourished by Him daily, so that you won’t wither but thrive. (I love that!)

My prayer is that I can help ignite a passion to pursue what matters and stand firm for God. That you will allow God to rescue what is left unattended and ignored in your heart for far too long.
