God Has Called You

God has called you to do something.

In fulfilling this call you will have people along the way to help you.

Inside you are talents and abilities to bring your call into action.

Unlimited knowledge is at your disposal to move your call forward.

But there will be times when it seems that people, talents and knowledge can’t help you.

All you will have left is God.

His faithfulness will never fail.

Help finish this post. What scriptures remind you that God is faithful? What scriptures let you know that your calling is established?

  1. Lately God placed Joshua 1:9 on my heart. It is often too familiar to those of us who were raised in the church. God reminds Joshua to “be strong and courageous” then says to “not be afraid” or “discouraged”. Why? Because “the Lord YOUR God is with you wherever you go “. Wherever. In any battle. When the odds are stacked against you. When you r down and alone. Anywhere!

    • God has a way of making those verses that are all too familiar near and dear to our heart. This promise is just as prevalent for us today as it was for Joshua. Sooo glad we don’t have to fulfill our calling alone!

  2. He has established my calling and given me many details- I know who I will help and how I will help them, but there are some concrete specifics He’s holding off on telling me before He ‘releases’ me to do His work. There is still more healing and faith building that He is doing in my life before I’m ready. I’m holding onto the fact that His timing His perfect- His ways are higher than my ways.

    He’s given me some scripture here and again about it, but most of the confirmation has come from His voice. When He first told me who I would be helping, I told Him (feeling like Moses) “How will I help them? God, I don’t have a degree!” and He quickly replied with “You don’t need a degree, you have Me.” Point taken. (;

    • God will use the “nobodies” because men often look at the credentials, etc. When God uses an unlikely person people know it was God who did it all and it’s all about Him getting the glory!

  3. The Lord has seen me through my calling through the voice and innocense of children. I see the Lord in their faces and want desperately to make Him happy by planting seeds that will flourish till their adult years. That the light of the Lord Jesus will shine through me to bring those children lost, alone and in need to Christ by His glory. Col 1:27-29 ” To them God has choosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. 29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.”

  4. God is faithful =)
    Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations…… Ps 119: 89,90

  5. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
    It is a HUGE comfort to know that HE has a plan for me each and every day, and HE provides his strength every morning to accomplish that plan!

  6. Love this post!! The first verse that came to my mind when I read this is Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” 😉
